The main theme is the battle between keen and wretched, and neighboring unspoilt in the end always succeeds (nothing near to the torsion of things in the leger itself, but its only the big line...). The battle is no imagenary battle, but takes re solelyy place: In the end The mesh of Five Armies is fought. The story takes place in Middle-Earth, in the thirdly Age of its history. Its a land and time of Elves, Dwarves and Dragons. The story contains the elements of a reverie story, but in comparison with The Lord of the Rings, is oftentimes like a fairy tale (not as daedal and thorough). The narrator is omniscient, but mainly follows Bilbo like a constellation of shoulder-camera. Bilbos thoughts are sometimes quite clearly expressed by his behaviour. You also get a quite a good glisten inside the head of Bilbo, especially when hes alone somewhere. The symbolization is that good wants to save the mankind and destroy the oppressors, but meanwhile evil wants to tur n the furtile landscapes into smouldering heaps of ash and to enslave all the people, to blacken the sky and annihilate all accompaniment one thousand things that crawl or breath or perhaps comely stand upon the very soil.
The genre is secondary realism, its a fantasy novel and the author creates a completely new world to be experienced by the ratifier. The reader needs a good imagination to really devour the world in his/her mind and thus understand the story. The gloss refers to the main region and our hero Bilbo: He is the hobbit, and the book ìs about a hobbit, so why dont call it The Hobbit? The book is written in an easy readable way, with a ! hush-hush and old, but not a complex form. In Dutch its even rather a child-bedtime-story-book...
